YO-YO MA
Daniel Hege, conductor
Yo-Yo Ma, cello
Internationally renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma will return to the stage of the Mulroy Civic Center to perform Dvořák’s Cello Concerto with the SSO for one night only. This musical superstar, who last performed with us in 2005 to a sold-out audience, has enjoyed a multifaceted career that is testament to his continual search for new ways to communicate with audiences. Whether performing new or familiar works from the cello repertoire, coming together with colleagues for chamber music or exploring cultures and musical forms outside the Western classical tradition, Mr. Ma strives to find connections that stimulate the imagination.
